"Save it First" with Two Balls

OBJECTIVE: This exercise is a fun game for your keepers to play while focusing on the proper diving technique and quickening reflexes.
DESCRIPTION: Two goalkeepers line up one leg's length away from a middle person who is standing between two balls sitting on the ground. When the middle person points to a ball, both goalkeepers should immediately dive to that side and try to get to the ball first. There are no ties - if both keepers get their hands on it, they should wrestle it away from one another. Play until one keeper wins five matches. Make sure your keepers are on their toes with their feet moving while waiting for the direction to be indicated.
VARIANT: This exercise can also be performed with one field player and one goalkeeper. The field player should try to get to the ball first and shoot it past the keeper before he gets down to block the shot.
