The North Mississauga Soccer Club will, to the best of its ability, offer a tiered system of play for its members. The type of team shall categorize the three levels of play (pyramid of play). The three are known as House League teams, All-star “Tournament” teams and Representative teams.

All-star “Tournament” teams will participate in tournaments throughout the outdoor season. These teams will be comprised of House League players that have been selected through a try-out process. Additional House League players may be asked to play on a “call up” basis. The All-star “Tournament” team does not take precedent over the House League team, with the exception of weekend House League practices that can be missed for an All-star tournament. All games for House League must be attended before any All-star “Tournament” team function is attended. In this case House League will be the first priority.

Once again the NMSC will be offering our House League players the opportunity to compete at a higher level. The following describes our All-Star Program;

Both Boys and Girls will have opportunities to play All-star from U8 to U18.
To ensure all House League players are offered an opportunity to tryout for an All-star team the club will be sponsoring open tryouts for Boys and Girls, dates, times and venues can be found of the NMSC website or by contacting the NMSC Technical Director.

All-star coaches must participate in the open tryouts before making their final player selections. Player selection will be based on technical skills (first touch, passing, receiving) attitude, work ethic, coach ability, general athletic ability (including running speed, power, endurance).

All-star coaches must have a minimum Ontario Soccer Association Community Coach Youth 2 Certification

Players must be prepared to commit to one additional practice per week and 4-6 weekend tournaments. Tournaments may involve some travel. Practices may be scheduled on Friday evenings or some weekends so as to avoid conflicts with House League schedules and ensure field availability.
